Class A CDL Truck Drivers
RJ Zavoral & Sons Inc. is seeking a highly motivated individual for a CDL Truck Driver position within our paving division.
Applicants must have/possess:
- Commercial Class A Drivers License
- Paving/Asphalt truck driving experience is preferred
- High Physical capacity/able to lift 50+lbs
- Ability to read maps and navigate routes.
- Ability to sit and stand/get in and out of a Dump truck or Semi

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Operating a commercial truck (tractor-trailer)
- Navigating routes using maps and GPS systems
- Picking up and delivering material to designated locations
- Follow all traffic laws, and maintain appropriate licensure, including medical certificate. Follow all DOT safety regulations and standards
- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment and follow all safety procedures
- Securely loading and unloading material using appropriate techniques and following safety procedures
- Properly securing loads to ensure safety during transport
- Performing pre-trip and post trip inspections and completing daily truck inspection reports
- Completing basic maintenance and reporting any malfunctions to service line
- Complete and maintain accurate truck load logs, time sheets, and any other required paperwork
- Manage time effectively and proficiently
- Manage appropriate cell phone use
- Working and communicating in close relationship with both construction inspectors and construction supervisors and all employees to ensure that all tasks are done correctly and as required
Qualifications and Skills:
- Construction truck driving experience is preferred
- Excellent communication skills with, but not limited to other truck drivers, dispatch, supervisors, and customers
- Ability to fill out daily truck inspection reports, conduct daily walk-around vehicle inspection, and perform routine daily truck maintenance
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Multi-tasking capability in a fast-paced work environment
- Maintain safety of truck driving including site awareness, and safety of those working in proximity to routes and job sites
