Mainline Paving Equipment Operator
RJ Zavoral & Sons Inc. is seeking a highly motivated individual for a Paving Equipment Operator.
Applicants must have/possess:
- Previous paving operating experience preferred
- Paving/asphalt experience is preferred
- High Physical capacity/able to lift 50+lbs
- Ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time and walk uneven job sites
- Valid Driver’s License-CDL Class A Preferred
- RJ Zavoral & Sons Inc. will provide on the job training as needed

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Operate heavy equipment including pavers, screeds, milling machines, rollers, skid steers, brooms, loaders
- Effectively manage cell phone use
- Housekeeping: Keep cab and windows clean
- Wear proper PPE: safety vest, eye and hearing protection.
- Operate equipment in a safe, efficient, and responsible manner
- Perform daily maintenance and inspection of equipment
- Successfully operate equipment to desired skill level to complete the job efficiently and produce a high-quality product
- Determine speed and direction of machine, using knowledge of material and equipment
- Coordinate machine actions with other activities, positioning and moving the machine in response to hand or audio signals from crew members
- Communicate with crew and foreman on job
- Must have thorough understanding of paving heavy machine operating
- Promote, execute, and adhere to company safety program
- Perform other duties as instructed
Qualifications and Skills:
- 1year or more paving operator Experience is preferred
- CDL Class A preferred
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong problem solving, organizational, and time management skills
- Multi-tasking capability in a fast-paced work environment
